Jim and Adele Chico

Jim & Adele Chico of Morgan Hill, CA., are the Round Dance Instructors for Rhythm Rounds, a San Jose, CA based round dance club. Jim & Adele are active Roundalab members, are on the Phase 4 ROQ committee, and choreograph new dances from time to time. When in session Rhythm Rounds covers Round Dance Phases 3 through 5.

Round dancing is a form of ballroom dancing where a round dance "Cuer" gives vocal cues indicating which steps to perform. The dance routines are generally pre-choreographed and remain the same for a given dance on a world-wide basis. Jim & Adele, like many other instructors, have choreographed a number of round dance routines. The standards for rhythms and figures used by these routines are set by a world-wide organization, ROUNDALAB, which meets once a year to formalize and adopt new figures and rhythms as they are conceived and developed.

Jim and Adele's dance Slow Boat Foxtrot was a Roundalab Round of the Quarter in 2003. Their tango Hernando's Hideaway and their two step Mack The Knife were Round of the Quarter runner-ups in 1999 and 2000.
