Key Accomplishments

  • Designed and implemented a GUI for PC software that lets you access the databases of a GPRS phone. It lets you modify the phone book, send SMS messages, and change the phone's configuration.
  • Designed and implemented the GUI for an IDE for debugging code running on a multi-processor chip. The IDE works over a network and allows remote debugging by processor or task. It allows stepping, breakpoints, watch variables, context switching, expansion of arrays and structures, viewing of changed values in color, and code view in either source or assembly.
  • Designed and implemented a creative GUI that allows visual configuration and control of a reconfigurable chip. including its 100 processors and all their supporting communication channels.
  • Designed and implemented this web site, www.mixed-up.com.

1979-1997 Senior Software Engineer, Systems Engineer and Technical Writer at Telegyr Systems, which was later acquired by Siemens AG.

1993-1997 Ph.D program in Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz, CA. Finished all work except dissertation. My research was in the area of Information Visualization.
1992 M.S. in Computer Science at San Jose State University, CA.
1984 M.A. in Psychology at San Jose State University, CA.
1979 B.A. in Theology at Bethany Bible College, Scotts Valley, CA.
