Cute Report

Branding Proposal

Cute Report is a report solution based on the Qt framework (popularly pronounced "Cute.") It runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

The Qt framework is a toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces and cross-platform applications that run on Linux, Android, Windows, Mac, and embedded systems. It was used to create many popular software applications such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, Autodesk Maya, DaVinci video editor, Google Earth, Mathematica, Sibelius music software, Virtual Box, and VLC media player.

Our proposal consists of several different logos, several business cards, and an app icon.

I want to evoke a modern tech look for Cute Report, so I stuck to black, white, and gray colors, monospaced fonts, and geometric fonts like Futura, and Century Gothic.

One logo is square and says tech. I wanted to create a simple logo that could be used for an icon and have special effects added to it, like bevels, shadows, or textures. There is an example of the logo rendered as an icon in the style of iOS 6, Mac OS X, or Windows 7.

Other ideas include using a Monospaced font (as used in coding); a stylized pie chart; and a stylized bar chart.
