1/4 Cross
Cast right 1/4, centers Cross Run

1/4 Stable
Do the call normally until you have turned 90 degrees; then do the remainder of the call working Stable

1/4 The Alter
Alter the wave, but all casts and Counter Rotates are 1/4

12 Matrix Concept
12 Matrices come in two varieties: 3x4 and 2x6. 3x4 setups look like Triple Lines or Columns. 2x6 setups look like Triple Boxes. Either may be configured as columns or lines.
In all 12 Matrix setups, those facing out of the grand setup act as leaders, all others do the trailers. part of the call. Reevaluate your position as leader / trailer after each part of the call.
In 2x6 setups the grand ends act as ends, and there are two sets of centers, one on each side.

16 Matrix Concept
A 16 matrix can be configured as 4x4, 2x8, or 1x16. The rules for 16 matrix are the same as those for 12 matrix.
In the case of 2x8 matrices, 4 positions are considered ends, and all others are centers. There are three center boxes in a 2x8 matrix.

Diagonal Lines/Waves/Columns
In a 2x4 matrix, each end dancer works in a distorted line or wave with his/her adjacent center and both of their opposites. Each center dancer works in a distorted line or wave with his/her adjacent end and both of their opposites.

Diamond 1/4 Thru
Diamond Circulate, very centers Trade (assuming right hand diamonds).

Diamond Concept
Do the call replacing Hinges with Diamond Circulates of the same handedness, and replacing centers Trade with very centers Trade by the same hand.

Diamond Remake

Diamond Single Rotate
All put left hands into the center of your diamond, and Diamond Circulate.

Grand Concept
In general, either 6 people will dance as centers while 2 dance as ends, or 6 people will dance as trailers while 2 dance as leads.
From a tidal setup, the 2 very centers will work as centers of a center formation of 4; all others will work normally.
From a 2x4 setup, trailers in the center box of 4 will work in that box, while all others will work normally (split).

Grand Switch The Wave
Switch the wave, very centers slither.
Cheat: 8 Trade; 6 slither

Grand Working As Ends / Centers
All those who possibly can, work as ends / centers in some setup. If you can't, then do your normal part in whatever setup is closest to you.

Grand Working Concept
A generalization of the Grand Concept. In general, each dancer will work in the setup indicated by the direction given, e.g. Grand Working Right, except the very end dancer, who will work in the end setup.

Gravitate
Centers 2/3 linear cycle; outsides reverse single rotate 0/4 and tandem cross fold

H Formation
The formation obtained by doing an invert the column 3/4. So named because it looks like an "H".

Leads wheel right and Circulate; trailers wheel right

Offset [Setup] Concept
A distorted [setup] occupying 8 spots consisting of two diagonally opposite split split setups.
That is, in a 16 matrix, the 4 spots in one quadrant, with the 4 spots in the opposite quadrant, form a distorted [setup].

Outeractives
The lead ends and those adjacent to them are called the "outeractive" dancers.

Triple [setup] Working Together
Those in the outside [setups] work triple [setup]. Those in the center [setup] work with the near outside [setup]; or, if both outside [setups] are equally distant, with the setup they are facing.

Triple Cast
Center 6 cast 3/4, very ends turn back; finish coordinate

Triple Columns
A 4x3 formation consisting of 3 files. Each dancer works in only one of the files.

Triple Formation Working Together
Work in a pair of [setups] which together comprise an 8-matrix. If you are in an outside [setup], work in the 8-matrix nearest you.
- Triple Boxes Working Together: If you are in the center triple box, work with the outside triple box nearest you.
- Triple Lines Working Together: If you are in the center triple line or wave, work with the outside line or wave you are facing.

Triple Z Concept
From normal Zs, the center Zs will work together, and the outsides will work with phantoms located outside of them, and forming Zs parallel to the center Z.
